Removal and installation of a beam of a forward suspension bracket

After installation the beam of a forward suspension bracket should pass geometrical check.


 REMOVAL

1 Remove the bottom cover of an impellent compartment, address to Section Removal and installation of the bottom cover of an impellent compartment.
2 Raise the engine and turn away fastening of support of the engine from a beam at the left and on the right, address to Section Removal and pallet installation картера.
3 Mark a paint position of a corresponding forward wheel concerning a nave. It will allow to establish at assemblage отбалансированное a wheel in its former position. Ослабьте bolts of fastening of a wheel at the car standing on the earth. Lift a forward part of the car, put it on supports and remove a forward wheel.

4 Turn away bolts of fastening of the bottom amplifier-1 (arrows on an illustration).

5 If there is a road clearance gauge, disconnect it from a beam (the marksman on an illustration).

6 Disconnect the cross-section lever-1 from an engine beam at the left and on the right (arrows on an illustration).

7 Turn away a nut (the marksman on an illustration) at the left and on the right. Disconnect шаровый the hinge of the cross-section lever-1 by means of a plastic fist.

8 Turn away bolts of fastening and remove the steering mechanism-1 from a beam of a suspension bracket-2 (arrows on an illustration).

9 Establish in the centre under a beam the garage lift with a wooden lining. Prop up a beam.

On an illustration the lift of the engine with prorate BMW-312220 is shown.

10 Turn away bolts of fastening of a beam of a suspension bracket to an engine beam.
11 Cautiously lower a beam by means of the garage lift.


 INSTALLATION

12 Establish a beam of a suspension bracket and fix an engine beam new bolts with the efforts specified in Specifications.

At first fix both back bolts, in relation to a direction "forward".

13 Fix the steering mechanism on a suspension bracket beam new self-stopped nuts the moment 42 Н•м.
14 Clear of greasing a pin on the spherical hinge of the cross-section lever, and also an aperture in a suspension bracket beam. Insert the hinge into an aperture of a beam and press the lift upwards. Thus, the nut is easier for tightening. The inhaling moment makes 80 Н•м.
15 Fix the holder of the cross-section lever on an engine beam at the left and on the right the moment 60 Н•м.
16 If the road clearance gauge acted in film, fix it on a suspension bracket beam.
17 Fix bolts the bottom amplifier the moment 60 Н•м.
18 Fix bolts of a support of the engine to a beam of the engine the moment 47 Н•м.
19 Establish the bottom cover of an impellent compartment, address to Section Removal and installation of the bottom cover of an impellent compartment.
20 Remove the elevating device of the engine.
21 Establish into place a forward wheel so that the marks put at removal have coincided. Preliminary grease with a thin layer подшипниковой greasings aligning belt of a disk of a wheel on a nave. Bolts of fastening of a wheel do not grease. Rusty bolts replace. Wrap bolts. Lower the car on wheels and tighten bolts cross-wise the moment 100 Н•м.
